Biography: Kelly Brister, MD, a board certified colorectal surgeon, joined UMMC in the Division of Surgical Oncology. She grew up in Jackson, MS and graduated from Mississippi College. She completed her medical degree and general surgery residency at UMMC and completed a fellowship in colorectal surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She treats all facets of colorectal surgery and specializes in minimally invasive colorectal surgery.
My Approach to Healthcare
I approach each patient as individuals and meet them where they are to ensure they are fully comfortable and educated on treatment plan and informed to make decision about surgery.
