Biography

Dr. Kalyl Cable FAAP, FACC is an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He became a member of the staff at the Children’s of Mississippi Clinic in Tupelo in 2020.
Dr. Cable originates from the twin island federation of St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean.
He attended medical school at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus in Trinidad. He obtained his MBBS degree-Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery.
He would go on to complete his pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in association with the University of Miami.
Dr. Cable’s work at the Children’s of Mississippi Clinic in Tupelo involves diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of congenital and acquired heart disease in children. He expanded the umbrella of care to north-central Mississippi with initiation of an outpatient pediatric cardiac cardiology in Grenada. He also works with the North Mississippi Medical Center to provide cardiac care for inpatient pediatric, newborn nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and provides fetal echocardiogram evaluation for high-risk pregnancy.
