Biography

Dr. Mohammad W. Al-Omary is a pediatric cardiologist at the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a special interest in advanced cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT. He completed his pediatric residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He then pursued advanced training in noninvasive cardiac imaging at the University of Texas Health Science Center - Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Dr. Al-Omary provides care for children with a wide range of heart conditions and concerns, including chest pain, heart murmurs, syncope, dysautonomia, hypertension, and dyslipidemia, as well as the diagnosis and management of simple and complex congenital heart disease. His clinical interests include multimodality imaging, advanced image processing, and 3D reconstruction of complex congenital heart disease to support precise diagnosis, enhance anatomical and physiological understanding, clinical decision-making and aid in procedural and surgical planning.

He is actively involved in teaching and is dedicated to training future physicians. Dr. Al-Omary also has prior experience working with Doctors Without Borders, helping provide care for underserved children in resource-limited settings. He is committed to delivering compassionate, family-centered care and is passionate about serving the children and families of Mississippi, supporting them as they grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
