Office of Student Affairs

The Office of Student Affairs promotes student success and well-being by providing student-centered programming and services that facilitate the academic, personal and professional growth of all students.

The Office of Student Affairs provides academic support programs and resources, extracurricular events and activities, interprofessional education opportunities and supports the Associated Student Body (ASB). Located in the Norman C. Nelson Student Union, the Office of Student Affairs encourages students' use of campus facilities, including the Fitness Center and Gymnasium, Recreation Area and ASB Suite. The Norman C. Nelson Student Union also houses the UMMC Bookstore and additional lounge and meeting spaces.

Before competing for the Miss Mississippi title, Morgan Nelson was crowned Miss Starkville 2026. She has also held the titles of Miss Vicksburg 2023 and 2025, and Miss Mississippi State University 2024, representing her communities and university throughout her pageant journey.
