Pediatric Research and Clinical Education Program (PReCEP)
Traditionally, this program has combined research or quality improvement endeavors with an introduction to clinical care, with the major goal of introducing a diverse group of medical students to the world of Pediatrics as a future career path. M1 students are encouraged to apply early to participate in this program in the summer between their M1 and M2 years. Students will be matched with a mentor after acceptance to the program based on student area of interest and mentor availability.
The program is under the direction of David E. Gilliam, MD. The program is 8 weeks long and students will work an estimated 40-hour week.
You may contact Alyssa McCarron or Dr. David E. Gilliam with any questions.
