Pediatric Rheumatology

Division of Pediatric Rheumatology and Molecular Immunology

Providing comprehensive care to children with arthritis and other rheumatic diseases is the focus of the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, part of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. In this division, medical students, residents and fellows are trained to utilize tools and tests for diagnoses, select the most appropriate therapies and coordinate care of children and adolescents with multisystem diseases. Research efforts seek the causes and possible cures for rheumatological diseases, including auto-immune disorders and those affecting joints, soft tissues and connective tissues.
