Emergency Medicine

Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine

When a child’s life is in danger after an injury or from illness, the quality and timing of care received can deliver that child to a healthy outcome. The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, part of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine’s Department Pediatrics, trains medical students, residents and fellows, through classroom and providing care, the practice of emergency medicine. Realizing that children require specialized care, the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine seeks, though research, to find the most effective training for medical professionals and the best and most compassionate methods of care for young patients.
