| Collection Information: | Pre-chill collection tube before drawing specimen. Place specimen on ice immediately. Obtain by standard collection procedures. | ||
| Transport Information: | Deliver to lab immediately on ice. All specimens must be signed into the laboratory. | ||
| Reference Client: | If unable to deliver to the lab within 30 minutes, centrifuge the specimen and remove plasma from the red cells. Store and transport at -20° C. Sample is stable frozen for 4 weeks. | ||
| Causes for Rejection: | Improperly labeled, incorrect container, contaminated, insufficient volume, incorrect/delay in transport. | ||
