The Department of Anesthesiology's Division of Research at the University of Mississippi Medical Center has an active program, which includes basic, translation and clinical research as well as providing educational programs related to research.
The overall mission of the department’s research activities is to improve the quality and outcome of perioperative care and pain management as well as contribute new knowledge to the field of anesthesiology.
