UAB surgery faculty to talk balloon occlusion, aorta
Dr. Jan Jansen, associate professor of surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, will give the Department of Surgery Grand Rounds presentation, "Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta: Implementation and Evaluation," from 8-9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, in room CW106 of the Classroom Wing.

School of Medicine to host health disparities conferenceClinical and translational researchers from UMMC, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Tulane University will host the Delta Clinical and Translational Science Health Disparities Conference from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 19, in the medical education building.The event will include keynote speakers from each institution, a poster session and a networking session.
