Rad sciences faculty, rad-onc resident earn national posts

National rad tech society taps Moore as board secretary

A School of Health Related Professions faculty member is a new officer in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.

Dr. Kristi Moore, associate professor and chair of radiological sciences in SHRP, will serve as secretary of the society’s 2018-19 board of directors. She’s one of four board officers elected during the 2018 ASRT Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting in Las Vegas.

Board officers “dedicate a tremendous amount of time and effort to making sure decisions are made in the best interest of the society, its members and the profession,” said Sal Martino, CEO and executive director of the society, in a news release.


Radiation-oncology resident plucks ARRO appointment

Dr. Ashley Albert, a resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology Program, recently was elected to the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology Executive Committee.

ARRO is an arm of the American Society for Radiation Oncology. The Executive Committee is the ARRO’s governing body.
