The Medical Center is proud to announce the following addition to its faculty and leadership staff.
Tobe Momah, M.D.
Momah
Dr. Tobe Momah, medical director of a federally qualified health center in Monroe, Louisiana, has joined the Medical Center faculty as an assistant professor of family medicine.
After earning his M.D. at the University of Nigeria College of Medicine, Enugu, in 2000, Momah received his M.Sc. from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, in 2004. He had a general surgery residency from 2005-07 and a family medicine residency from 2007-10 at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, New York.
Momah has served as a family physician in Louisiana since 2010. He has worked in the private medical sector and in the correctional health system. He became medical director of the federally qualified health center in 2013.
The author or coauthor of 18 articles in peer-reviewed scientific publications, 17 books and 11 posters and oral presentations, Momah is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
