Indiana academic hospitalist joins Medical Center faculty

The Medical Center is proud to announce the following addition to its faculty and leadership staff.

Dr. Neelakanta A. Dadi, an academic hospitalist at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, has joined the Medical Center faculty as an assistant professor of medicine.

After studying biology at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India, Dadi earned his M.B.B.S. at Andhra Medical College in 2003. A senior house officer at North Cambria University Hospitals, Carlisle, U.K., from 2003-09, Dadi received his M.R.C.P. (Member of Royal College of Physicians) from the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom, in 2009. He had an internship in medicine from 2009-10 and a residency in medicine from 2010-12 at the University of Utah. A fellow in nephrology at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, from 2012-13, Dadi joined IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in 2013.

An active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association, Dadi has coauthored three scientific abstracts or posters and has given several presentations internationally. His areas of interest include medical education and research, quality improvement, and transitions of care.
