Nursing instructor joins UMMC faculty

The Medical Center is proud to announce the following addition to its faculty and leadership staff.
Amanda Criswell, M.S.N.
Criswell
Amanda Criswell, an education manager at Conroe Regional Medical Center and adjunct clinical faculty at the University of Texas, Arlington, has joined the Medical Center faculty as an instructor in nursing.
After receiving her B.S.N. from Alcorn State University in 2003, Criswell served as a registered nurse at Natchez Community Hospital for six years and as director of the LPN Program at Copiah Lincoln Community College for three years. In 2009, she joined Memorial Hermann Northwest, where she served as a registered nurse, a charge nurse and a trauma champion. She was an education manager for Conroe Regional from 2012-16 and adjunct faculty at UT from 2015-16. She received her M.S.N. from Prairie View A&M, Houston, Texas, in 2015.
Recipient of the 2016 HCA Innovators Award, Criswell is an active member of the American Nurses Association and the Emergency Nurses Association. She has served on numerous committees and boards.
