A student in the School of Health Related Professions' Doctor of Health Administration program has been invited to a national caregiving organization's landmark conference in the nation's capital.

Spencer Blalock, a clinical specialist for the Rush Health System's Senior Care Intensive Outpatient Program in Union and a student in the School of Health Related Professions' Doctor of Health Administration program, was invited by the National Alliance for Caregiving to attend its 20th annual conference, “The Next 20 Years in Caregiving,” March 21 in Washington, D.C.
In 2014, Blalock was appointed by Gov. Phil Bryant to be the chair of the Mississippi Caregivers Task Force, which was initiated by state Sen. Terry Burton in 2013.
