Neuroepidemiologist joins Medical Center faculty

The Medical Center is proud to announce the following addition to its faculty and leadership staff:
Nancy A. West, Ph.D.
West
Dr. Nancy A. West, a neuroepidemiologist, has joined the Medical Center faculty as an assistant professor of medicine.
West earned the Ph.D. in epidemiological science at the University of Michigan in 2006. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Preventive Medicine Department at the University of Colorado School of Medicine before joining the faculty as senior instructor in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Colorado Medical Campus.
A member of the Society for Epidemiologic Research, West is the author or coauthor of more than 30 peer-reviewed professional publications and serves as a peer reviewer for a number of scientific journals, including the American Journal of Epidemiology and Experimental Gerontology. West has given a dozen invited presentations nationally and internationally.
Her research interests include identification of risk factors for cognitive decline and dementia, vascular factors in brain aging and dementia, and elucidation of racial disparities in dementia.
