Pediatric pulmonologist joins UMMC faculty

The Medical Center is proud to announce the following additions to its faculty and leadership staff:
Oscar M. Rodriguez, M.D.

Dr. Oscar M. Rodriguez, a pediatric pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist, has joined the Medical Center faculty as an assistant professor of pediatrics.
After receiving the B.S. in 2002 and the M.D. in 2006 from Universidad Francisco Marroquin, Guatemala City, Rodriguez had postgraduate training in general pediatrics from 2007-10 at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; in pediatric pulmonology from 2010-13 at St. Louis Children's Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri; and in sleep medicine from 2013-14 at Cincinnati Children's Hospital/University of Cincinnati, Ohio.
A member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Thoracic Society and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Rodriguez has coauthored peer-reviewed articles in the Annals of the American Thoracic Society and the Journal of Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He has also participated in abstract poster presentations at the American Thoracic Society and at the Associated Professional Sleep Society's annual meetings.
