Gloria C. Rodriguez Barinas, MD
Specialties: Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
Gender: Female
Biography: I was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where I also attended medical school. I initially started my training in general surgery but as all things that are meant to be, I found my true calling in anesthesiology and specially in cardio-thoracic anesthesia. I love the opportunity and the honor of taking care of some of the most vulnerable and sick patients and truly giving it my best to accomplish a positive outcome for the patients and their families. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and going on adventures/making memories with my husband and two little ones.
My Approach to Healthcare
It is a humbling and honoring experience to be trusted to provide medical care to my patients, taking over and maintaining vital functions essential to life is no small endeavor.
I believe every patient deserves the same commitment and compassionate care as if they were my own family members. I try to practice evidence- based medicine and keeping up to date with the latest literally and evidence to provide world class care to our patients.
I strongly believe in team work and multidisciplinary communication and coordination and in having a positive attitude and mindset while facing the challenges that often present to us as anesthesiologists.
