Biography: Dr. Sheeraz Abro born and raised in pakistan where he earned his medical degree from Chandka Medical College and completed his internal medicine residency at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, where he developed a strong clinical foundation and deep commitment to caring for underserved populations. He later served as a staff physician in a district hospital, delivering essential care in resource-limited settings.
After completing his nephrology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Dr. Abro joined the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) as a clinical nephrologist.
Dr. Abro is passionate about medical education, research, and community outreach. His academic interests include polycystic kidney disease, resistant hypertension, and improving access to home dialysis therapies. As a graduate of UAB’s Medical Education Fellow Track, he continues to mentor trainees and develop impactful learning experiences. Dr. Abro remains dedicated to advancing kidney health through compassionate care and service to vulnerable communities.
