Biography: Michael grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi, and graduated from Tupelo High School in 2003. He attended Mississippi State University where he ran cross country and track & field. Michael graduated from MSU in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He completed his medical school training and his emergency medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Michael completed his medical toxicology fellowship at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Safety in Denver, Colorado in 2017. He is board-certified in emergency medicine, medical toxicology, and addiction medicine.
