Biography: Dr. Mangum has taught at the UMMC SON for over 22 years. He currently serves as an Associate Professor and the Director of the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner track. He has been a registered nurse for over 27 years with experience in mental health and acute care. He has a MSN in education, a PhD in Leadership, and a post-masters as Psych NP. Dr. Mangum also has extensive experience in disaster preparedness and response with many deployments including Covid-19,federal quarantine stations, and hurricanes. Currently, Dr. Mangum is the President of the Mississippi Nurses Association.

My Approach to Healthcare

There are times that we all have difficulties in life. I believe in the whole person of mind-body-spirit and that it takes all three to make one who they are. I am here to help people to get through these times.
