Biography: Dr Angelle L. Klar is a native of Louisiana who graduated LSU School of Medicine in 1999. She remained in New Orleans to complete Pediatric residency at LSU, then Neonatal/Perinatal fellowship at the combined LSU/Tulane program. After practicing Neonatology for 12 years in her home town of Baton Rouge, pursuit of formal training in palliative care brought her to UMMC in 2016. She developed a passion for the humanities with the patient narrative as the central focus of the illness journey, thus completed focused study of Bioethics at Children's Mercy in Kansas City. She is committed to caring for the children of Mississippi and their families and is honored to consider Mississippi her home. When not at the hospital, Dr Klar enjoys crochet and spending time with her husband, children and their family pets.
