Biography: Brett Jeter is a board certified internal medicine physician that works primarily in the hospital medicine division. Brett went to Mississippi State for an engineering degree and UMMC for medical school. He graduated from internal medicine residency in 2017 and has been on faculty at UMMC since graduation. He has advanced experience in point of care ultrasound and bedside procedures. He is the leader of the POCUS curriculum for the Internal Medicine Residency and the director of the Hospital Medicine Track. He is an associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency and serves as assistant clerkship director for M3s in Internal Medicine.
My Approach to Healthcare
I am to provide compassionate and efficient health care to hospitalized patients at UMMC. I desire to treat each patient with dignity, respect and fervor. I enjoy learning pathophysiology, evidenced based medicine and using that knowledge to treat each patient with the most advanced medical care. It is a privilege to be a doctor here.
