Biography: Born and raised in New Delhi, India; Dr. Bhatia completed his medical school training at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital; followed by post graduation in Internal Medicine. Dr. Bhatia then moved to US for further training and completed Neurology residency from the University of Missouri-Columbia followed by a 2-year Neurocritical Care fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. His research interests include hemorrhagic transformation in acute ischemic stroke - quantification and association with functional outcomes, hematoma expansion in intracerebral hemorrhage, neuro prognostication, and quality improvement in the field of stroke and neurocritical care.
