Sumner Foundation Scholarship Fund

Established in 1977 by Mrs. E.H. Sumners of Eupora, MS, to provide scholarship assistance for students from Webster, Montgomery, Attala, Carroll and Choctaw counties who are enrolled at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Award amounts are based upon funding and vary each year.

Orr-Russwurm Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship preserved exclusively for the purpose of providing assistance to deserving students whom are planning a full or part-time career in Christian missionary work. The amount will vary annually based on eligibility of funds. All eligibility criteria as stated on the application MUST be met to obtain an award.

Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship

Established by the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation. This scholarship is designed for Christian women who have financial need and are pursuing a degree in nursing, medicine, dentistry, and health related professions. Recipients must be in good academic standing and must be accepted to either of the before mention programs. Recipients must also apply for all applicable state and federal grants, which includes completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

UMMC Child of Faculty/Staff Award

This scholarship is available to children of employees of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, University of Mississippi main campus (Oxford), and the University of Mississippi satellite centers (Tupelo, DeSoto) for at least 12 months prior to application submission. Children of retired full-time employees with 10 years of service or those employees who die while in service are also eligible. The tuition scholarship will cover 50% of tuition costs per semester for each parent employed full time by any of the entities listed above for at least 12 consecutive months. A tuition scholarship representing full tuition is available to children of full-time faculty and staff employed prior to July 1, 1977. The tuition scholarship is available for students in undergrad, graduate and professional programs at UMMC. The tuition scholarship is automatically renewable until completion of program based on terms and conditions. All eligibility criteria as stated on the application MUST be met to obtain an award.

Workforce Development Scholarship

The Workforce Development Scholarship is available to eligible UMMC employees and could cover the cost of tuition for up to six hours per semester of qualifying courses taken at UMMC.
