Orthopaedics

UMMC Grenada Orthopaedics offers adults and children specialized services to treat diseases and injuries of bones and joints. We combine modern technology and compassionate care to ensure accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and successful outcomes.

Whether you are affected by joint pain or broken bones, our team provides expert care close to home. We focus on treating the whole patient and not just the specific disease or symptoms.

Orthopaedic specialty services in Grenada

Our team, led by board-certified orthopaedic surgeons, provides a number of specialized procedures, including:
  • Direct anterior hip replacement surgery
  • Knee replacement surgery
  • Endoscopic carpal tunnel/hand surgery
  • Hip, knee, and shoulder arthroscopy
  • Small and large joint replacements and custom joints
  • Shoulder/rotator cuff reconstruction

In medically appropriate cases, we offer minimally invasive surgeries for less pain after surgery and faster recovery. For all patients, we use techniques designed to minimize post-op pain. Our team also provides sports medicine expertise to treat injuries and conditions in athletes.

We provide expertise in overall bone health management.  This oversight can help prevent breaks in people with conditions, such as osteoporosis and certain cancers that put them at greater risk for bone fractures.

Nearby follow-up and supportive care

To make recovery after surgery more convenient, UMMC Grenada provides outpatient physical therapy. Home health is also available for patients who may need additional support at home.
