Students going through clinical rotations at UMMC Grenada faced driving to and from Jackson every day because living in a hotel for four or five weeks was cost-prohibitive. But thanks to renovations to unused patient rooms and creation of both a student lounge and technology and learning room made possible by a federal grant award, rotating students can have comfortable and free quarters.
