Description:
The food we eat has a big impact on our bodies’ ability to fight illness, stay healthy, feel better, and live longer. But changing habits is hard — especially if you’re trying to do it alone.
The Office of Well-being will offer a free program, the Full Plate Living Healthy Lifestyle Program, created by the nonprofit Ardmore Institute of Health.
The program will meet as a small group over eight weeks, from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 4 – Oct. 23. Sessions will cover lessons on healthier eating, with opportunities to encourage one another and take simple, customizable steps toward better nutrition. Most participants can work around food preferences and allergies.
An information session will be held Thursday, Aug. 28, at 11:30 a.m. in classroom 3A-N318.
