Description:

The UMMC Cancer Center and Research Institute and UMMC Department of Radiology will be offering Low Dose CT (LDCT) screenings as part of the National Lung Cancer Screening Day, Saturday, November 2022, 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the Jackson Medical Mall CT imaging center. The national initiative, endorsed by the National Lung Cancer Roundtable, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiology Healthy Equity Coalition, helps to increase accessibility of screening on a Saturday to allow individuals access to screening without having to take a day off work. Screening eligibility: Ages 50-80, current smoker or quit in past 15 years, or at least 20 pack-year smoking history. Insurance and self-pay options are available.
