The Rowland Medical Library and the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities at UMMC is scheduled to present the virtual Billy S. Guyton History of Medicine Symposium, Medicine and Human Conflict: Examining Difficult Histories, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, online.

The health effects of human conflict are manifold and far-reaching. This online symposium will explore the way conflicts such as civil unrest, forced migration, ethnic hostility, as well as conventional warfare affect the health and health care of individuals and populations.
