Schwartz Rounds to link poverty, health: Food donations wanted

Doris Whitaker, pastoral services director, will facilitate the Schwartz Center Rounds 2019 Series: "Are We Too Busy?" discussion, "Hunger and Healing: Links Between Poverty, Health and Well-being and How We Can Help," from noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in room CW 308 of the Classroom Wing.

Rev. Jill Barnes-Buckley, executive director of Stewpot Community Services; Amy Cottrell, UMMC Volunteer Services volunteer coordinator; and Amani Bailey, UMMC Academic Affairs project manager, will speak during the event.
 
All UMMC health care givers are invited. Donations of canned vegetables and fruit; rice, pasta and sauce; boxed food items; closed condiments; and canned chicken or tuna to the EversCare Food Pantry will be accepted.
 
Lunch will be available on a first-come basis. Valid UMMC identification badges are required for registration.
