DASS study seeks UMMC volunteers

Description:

We are recruiting African American volunteers who are between the ages of 18 and 45 years old. Participants must be willing to provide a small hair sample and blood sample, answer a series of online questionnaires, and complete assessments measuring heat and pressure sensitivity. This study will involve one visit to the University of Mississippi Medical Center that will last about two and a half hours. Financial compensation will be provided for your time. This research study will help us to understand why some people are more likely to develop pain than others, and could help us to design better treatments.
