Today, I’m pleased to share with you a recorded Coffee Talk conversation with Dr. Darrell Kirch, president emeritus of the Association of American Medical Colleges, who visited our campus a couple of weeks ago.
Dr. Kirch, a renowned psychiatrist, educator and scientist, was president and CEO of the AAMC from 2006 to 2019. During his UMMC visit, he took some time to meet with student and faculty groups and present a Vice Chancellor Lecture Series talk on the topic of provider burnout and well-being. If you missed that excellent presentation, you can watch it here.
It was a pleasure to sit down and chat with Dr. Kirch about his past, what drove him to the medical field and several topics that he is passionate about – and, of which, his views and the experiences he shares can benefit us all.
I hope you enjoy watching this Coffee Talk as much as I did hosting it.
