Speaking with the Speaker

Good morning!

For today’s column, I’m pleased to share a video “Coffee Talk” I had recently with Mississippi Speaker of the House Philip Gunn. I thought it would be a nice follow-up to last week’s VC Notes that recapped the past legislative session. 

I think you’ll find our chat interesting and informative as we learn a little more about the Clintonian who is one of our state’s top elected officials, a long-time friend of the Medical Center and a former college football “player” (you’ll see in the video why that is in quotes). I think you’ll enjoy it when we share the learned experiences we each gained while working in restaurants during college.
