When Dr. Claude Brunson came to UMMC as a resident in 1988, he wasn’t necessarily planning to launch his career in Mississippi. But he stayed at UMMC for three decades and effected many changes, especially to the surgical services culture. In April, he will tackle his next role: leader of the Mississippi State Medical Association.
