Whether it’s diabetes, cancer or asthma, chronic diseases can control your life. But for some, that control can be flipped through lifestyle changes. UMMC’s Everyday Wellness is offering three different programs to give employees and their families tools for diabetes prevention and management, and self-management of other chronic conditions.
Local children learned about brain cells, DNA and more at Discovery U Day sponsored by the Mississippi Children’s Museum and the School of Graduate Studies in the Health Sciences. The annual outreach event is a fun and educational experience that connects students learning their ABCs with students earning their Ph.D.s.
More than 80 posters and clinic table displays filled the student union's second floor conference center last Friday for the 23rd annual School of Health Related Professions Research Day. The room was a constant buzz of activity as SHRP students presented their research to faculty, judges and those interested in learning about the latest study topics in allied health.
