University of Mississippi Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center officials have announced a strategic affiliation agreement that establishes a collaborative relationship between the two institutions.

After 20 years in clinical nursing and more than 10 years at the Jackson Heart Study, Dr. Sonja Fuqua never lost an appreciation for her nursing education. In September 2017, she established an endowed scholarship for School of Nursing students who are active members of the Sigma Theta Tau honor society, an organization in which Fuqua is still active.

Medical Center leadership is proud to acknowledge those employees who will celebrate service anniversaries during the week of Feb. 26-March 4.

Several interesting events are scheduled for the upcoming weeks at the Medical Center.
