What does it take to advance precision medicine? Health data from at least one million volunteers, according to the National Institutes of Health. UMMC has been selected as an enrollment site for the NIH's "All of Us" research program, an ambitious study of genetic, lifestyle and environmental health factors. Starting in 2018, the Medical Center plans to recruit thousands of Mississippians for All of Us.

Following the recommendations of the American Occupational Therapy Association's board of directors, the OT program in the School of Health Related Professions is transitioning to a doctoral program, offering students a competitive entry-level degree.
