Speaking for many in attendance at the annual Medical Alumni Chapter Hall of Fame event last Thursday night in Jackson, Dr. Bruce Longest, chapter president, said he was “thrilled at the caliber of people we’re recognizing.” Those were the five eminent physicians being added to the Hall of Fame's roster and Dr. Mary Currier, the eighth School of Medicine graduate to accept one of the chapter’s most illustrious honors. |

When School of Medicine graduate Dan Harber didn’t get his first choice during the residency match, he didn’t just give in. He and Dr. Robert Brodell, dermatology chair, engineered a new residency that will further the Medical Center’s desire to place specialists or sub-specialists in the state’s rural corners. |  |
