Technical Standards for Admission, Progression and Graduation

The Traditional BSN program is a "2+2" program. You complete your prerequisites at the college, university or community college of your choice. The prerequisites for the UMMC program typically take students two years to complete. You may apply for admission when the number of prerequisites courses completed, plus those on the application plan of study, equals 62 credit hours. All required prerequisites courses (62 hours) must be completed prior to entering the nursing program. If you have questions regarding prerequisites or your application's status, please call (601) 984-1080 or (601) 815-0124.
