As the program director, I want to welcome you to our hand fellowship program at UMMC.

The goal of the fellowship program is to provide our fellow with an environment for education and practice that encourages excellence in preparation for their hand surgery careers in clinical or academic medicine. The fellows will receive progressive training and experiences in all areas of adult and pediatric hand, wrist, and peripheral nerves problems.

We accept applicants that have completed plastic surgery, general surgery, or orthopedic surgery residency education from an ACGME-accredited program.

The program provides a comprehensive exposure to hand surgery in an integrated program with the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, a university hospital and Level I trauma center; St. Dominic Hospital, the Children's Hospital of Mississippi, and the Sonny Montgomery Veterans Administration Hospital.
