Dr. Gamble is an assistant professor at UMMC with faculty appointments in the Department of Preventive Medicine, John D. Bower School of Population Health, and the Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine; Science Director for the Myrlie Evers-Williams Institute for the Elimination of Health Disparities; and junior investigator in the Mississippi Center for Clinical and Translational Research. She also holds leadership positions with the Public Health Education and Health Promotion Section of the American Public Health Association, and is a member of the Physical Activity Policy Research Network Plus with a focus on increasing physical activity among residents in rural settings throughout the United States.
Dr. Gamble also serves as the University of Mississippi representative for the Champions for Health in the South initiative; an action-oriented conglomerate of Southeastern Conference Universities’ committed to improving health outcomes in the Southeastern United States
