Career Interest
General Pediatrics vs. Cardiology.. very different, I know. I'm also interested in global health and plan on incorporating that into any career choice.

Running, baking, playing soccer, traveling to new places, and playing with my dog, Scout. I also love watching and cheering on Ole Miss football, for better or for worse.

What do you like about the program?
I chose to stay at UMMC for so many reasons. I was looking for a medium sized program that allowed for close relationships between fellow residents as well as with attendings and focused on individualized learning and mentorship. The faculty are always supportive and enthusiastic about teaching and caring for patients. I also wanted a strong training in general pediatrics with a broad exposure to subspecialties. Because we are the only children's hospital in the state, we are the referral center for your more typical pediatric patients as well as some really complex patients with a wide variety of pathologies. Most importantly, I wanted to work with residents who I knew would support me and each other through these tough and exciting years. Every resident I have worked with is positive and encouraging, and my co-interns are great. I enjoy spending time with them inside and outside of the hospital. I can't imagine working anywhere else!
