The graduate program in microbiology and immunology welcomes applicants with a strong background in biology and chemistry, who are intellectually curious. As a minimum requirement applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, an overall grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and a combined GRE score (verbal plus quantitative) > 300. Students enrolled in the program typically exceed these standards.
Stipends of $24,150 per year are available for PhD students enrolled in the program.
Students in good academic standing are awarded the Dean’s scholarship. The Dean's Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship.
PhD stipends and scholarships are assigned on a competitive basis. Students who wish to receive early admission and be considered for a graduate stipend and/or Dean's Scholarship for the upcoming fall semester should apply prior to December 15.
