How Small Can They Go: Nano-ORMOCER Technology and the Advancements in Preventative, Restorative, and Bonding

Course Outline

  • This lecture will review and discuss the different types of Nano-hybrid, Nano-ORMOCER®, ORMOCER® technologies used in some of today’s resin-based materials.
  • Adhesives, Flowables, Preventives and Universal Composites will be explored along with the clinical benefits of Nano-inclusion and ORMOCER®s.
  • A focus will be on understanding the chemical interaction and construction of the materials as those qualities relate to the clinical efficacy and success of the procedures involved.

Goals

  • Educate participants briefly on the history of “Nano and ORMOCER® technologies” with an emphasis on their strengths and weakness.
  • Highlight the multiple variables that need to be considered during the process of restoring teeth and preventing caries with these advanced materials.

Speaker

Dr. William Paveletz, DMD, is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry. He completed his AEGD residency at Universityof Pittsburgh Dental School and continued post-graduate work in prosthetics at University of Pittsburgh Dental School. He currently is VOCO‘s Clinical Educator speaking nationally to dental retailers, various dental societies and teaching institutions. He has a true passion for restorative dentistry with an emphasis on biocompatibility and holistic dentistry. His hands on workshops focus on topics ranging from esthetic dentistry, fixed and removable prosthetics and nano technology.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) through the joint program provider approval of Zoom Education, LLC, and VOCO Zoom Education, LLC is approved for awarding FAGD/MAGD credit.
