Cracking the Dental Code

With the yearly changes made to the CDT dental codes it can be challenging to a dental professional on how to help their patient submit or advise on what procedures their insurance carriers will cover. This program will discuss a variety of procedures from de-sensitizing, fluoride varnish/dental cream applications and sealant protocols and how to bill for them.

Course Objectives

  • Get the most out of your preventative materials by understanding their chemistry and how their technology is making an impact on today’s insurance dental codes.
  • Review and understand the different desensitizing and indirect restoration codes used in today’s dental practices.
  • Familiarize the staff with the correct narratives to use in submitting an insurance-based dental claim.
  • Introduce and discuss the new ADA “Covid-19 codes” regarding “teledentistry” and “PPE usage” and how they are being used by today’s dental professionals.

Speaker

Dr. William Paveletz, DMD, is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry. He completed his AEGD residency at Universityof Pittsburgh Dental School and continued post-graduate work in prosthetics at University of Pittsburgh Dental School. He currently is VOCO‘s Clinical Educator speaking nationally to dental retailers, various dental societies and teaching institutions. He has a true passion for restorative dentistry with an emphasis on biocompatibility and holistic dentistry. His hands on workshops focus on topics ranging from esthetic dentistry, fixed and removable prosthetics and nano technology.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) through the joint program provider approval of Zoom Education, LLC and VOCO. Zoom Education, LLC is approved for awarding FAGD/MAGD credit.
