Mississippi Rural Allied Health Professionals Scholarship Program

Scholarship Eligibility

These prerequisites for application must be met:

  • Recipient must be a legal resident of Mississippi
  • Current or permanent residence should include a ZIP code deemed "rural." Rural is generally defined as a community of 20,000 or less, according to the last preceding United States Decennial Census or a medically underserved (MUA) area
  • Recipient must have completed at least one year in an academic program within the School of Health Related Professions (SHRP) at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Be currently accepted and enrolled in one of the programs below:

  • Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene
  • Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics and Information Management
  • Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences
  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science
  • Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences
  • Post-baccalaureate Certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Post-baccalaureate Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Master of Health Informatics and Information Management
  • Master of Health Sciences
  • Master of Occupational Therapy
  • Doctor of Health Administration
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy
