Following satisfactory completion of all requirements, the student will be awarded the master of health sciences degree from the University of Mississippi.
The Master of Health Sciences program is accredited through the University of Mississippi Medical Center's accreditation by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). SACS information can be found at http://www.sacscoc.org.
In order to successfully complete the Master of Health Sciences (MHS) program a student must complete 36 hours of study with a cumulative MHS program GPA of 3.0 or greater. In general, the first six courses must be passed successfully before moving through the program. Each student must complete courses with a grade of "B" or better in each course. A student receiving a grade of "C" or lower may repeat the course one time. Furthermore, only one course may be repeated in the MHS program.
Students who satisfactorily complete all the requirements will be awarded the Master of Health Sciences degree from the University of Mississippi. Candidates for a degree must have attained an overall grade point average (GPA) in University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) coursework of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
