Tuition and Fees

For information on tuition and fees for the Health Informatics and Information Management Master Programs, contact the Office of Student Accounting.

As stated in the UMMC Bulletin, the Medical Center reserves the right to increase or modify tuition and fees without prior notice subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.

Estimated Additional Expenses - Health Informatics Track

In addition to tuition, fees, health insurance, and professional association dues, students should be prepared to spend approximately $942 the first year and $1478 the second year for necessary books and supplies.

First year

  • Books - $715
  • Educational supplies - $227

Second year

  • Books - $1478

Estimated Additional Expenses - Health Information Management Track

In addition to tuition, fees, health insurance, and professional association dues, students should be prepared to spend approximately $1709 the first year and $1826 the second year for necessary books and supplies.

First year

  • Books - $1433
  • Educational supplies - $227
  • AHIMA student membership - $49

Second year

  • Books - $1478
  • National Board Exam/Certification - $299
  • AHIMA student memberhip - $49

Computer/Electronic Devices - Both programs

Both Master Tracks are online programs.  Students are required to have a computer to access online courses.

To ensure that you have a computer that meets minimum standards to function with UMMC platforms, it must at least function at the following levels:

  • Windows 7 or Windows 10
  • Must be patched by Operating System Company regularly;
  • Modern browser such as the latest Chrome or Internet Explorer/Edge; and
  • Must run a modern and updated anti-virus solution.

Travel to off-campus clinical rotations - Both programs

Students are required to travel to off-campus clinical rotations. Therefore, students should be prepared to provide their own transportation and other incidental expenses during these clinical affiliations.
