TITLE: Student Compliance Training

PURPOSE: To establish criteria for compliance training for students enrolled in the John D. Bower School of Population Health.

POLICY:  All students including students who also serve in an employee role must receive compliance training in accordance with the institutional and Bower School of Population Health compliance training policies and procedures.

All Bower School of Population Health students must complete compliance training within fourteen (14) calendar days of beginning their academic programs at UMMC. All students must complete additional training throughout the academic year congruent with the UMMC compliance training schedule within the time periods as designated by the school.

Failure to complete compliance training within the designated time period will result in a hold being placed on the student’s account, and the student will be placed on inactive status in Canvas. Students placed on an Inactive status will have no access to their Canvas courses, with the exception of the compliance training. Course assignments missed while a student is on inactive status will not be allowed to be remediated without approval from the Dean.

Failure to complete compliance may also result in disciplinary action up to dismissal.
